It’s an interesting and sometimes uncomfortable feeling when launching a fundraiser. Of course, the success of a fundraiser has a lot to do with social media and whether or not people “share” your post and how many people actually see it. So all of a sudden I am sharing our video and dream with all my “friends” and family and asking them to please share it as well. It was a sad moment when I realized that people I know to be huge animal lovers and activists, or huge humanitarians did NOT even share the fundraiser. Maybe it’s time for me to look at my expectations.
The video did get shared and as of the moment of this writing, it has been seen 68 times! Woo hooo! And the best part is that we were able to raise the money to file the request for tax exempt status. This was a major part in this whole process. I feel so grateful about that. In the meantime, the fundraiser is still out there and I am still trusting that the right people or organization will see it and either give us or loan us the money we need to get the business plan. I have total faith in humanity so I am sitting patiently … and trusting the process.
