Good morning Dr. Dyer,

I’m not sure what is the right thing to say to convince you to read this letter personally so I am just going to open my heart and let this letter flow.  My name is Danielle and I have been a student of many teachings and philosophies, including those of Sathya Sai Baba, Buddha, Ramtha, Abraham, Dolores Cannon, Deepak Chopra, Louise Hay and you, to name just a few.

I am writing you today because I need your help.

I am a 47 year old woman and last year I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer (but that’s not what this is about at all).  I decided to use a lot of natural and alternative methods in conjunction with western medicine and even had my photo taken to John of God through what they call a surrogate so they could pray over it.  3 months after my diagnosis, I was cancer free. I wrote an article about it because I believe that our attitude affects our healing and I wanted to share what I had learned from that cancer diagnosis experience.  (I have attached my article here if you are interested in reading it click on it and it will download the pdf.)

I happen to also be guided to Anita Moorjani’s book and I want to thank you for exposing her beautiful story to the world in a way that didn’t threaten people (the spontaneous healing and channeled messages can be difficult for some people to accept).  You and your methods of getting people to expand their consciousness are brilliant.  Thank you for your gentle way.

So here is why I am writing to you.  I am the mother of a 17 year old daughter and right before  my diagnosis, I had started to dream about how I wanted to work with young adults (kids really because, let’s be honest, being 18 does not make you a capable adult).  I feel like I have something to teach them and that I also have a way of communicating with them that is non-threatening and empowering.  But really, I want to make a difference in this world and have a deep knowing that this is my calling. I am passionate about helping the young people that don’t have family or stability (i.e. foster kids that age out, others lost in the judicial system, etc).  But I am equally as passionate about our Earth and the treatment of the animals that inhabit her.

Combining my passions, I have created a concept that will truly benefit this beautiful planet and part of its tribe.  It’s a non-profit organization called Earth Tribe Ranch and in a nutshell, we are a sustainable living community where young adults and animals in need come together to heal, learn and thrive.  We are looking to be located in Boulder County, Colorado where the need is great.  I want to share more with you about ETR but first I want to tell you what inspired me to write to you.

As my partner Michael and I have been working to make Earth Tribe Ranch a reality, we have been connecting with others that share this vision and we met a man named Tim who has been part of the “system” for 25 years.  He shared some of his insight with us about the homeless population.  He told us that he believes many of the young adults that end up on the streets will never have a chance at a normal life.  If they end up in the system for survival behavior (usually criminal in nature) and then get out of the system, there is no way for them to be integrated back into our unforgiving society because there are no programs to help them truly get on their feet.  They can’t get a job because they have a criminal record which leads to more survival behavior and then the cycle beings of going from the streets to the jails to the streets again.  (Of course, this is where ETR comes in.)

Through my getting to know Tim, he expressed how you, Wayne Dyer, helped him, a hardened criminal.  You and your beautiful ways of getting people to think and expand had significant impact on him and the incredible changes he has gone through. He is a 47 year old man that is now using his 25 years of experience with the justice system to give back and do something great by helping to create programs that will bring about change in these kids and help them have a chance at a normal life. You inspired him and it reaffirmed for me again that when the student is ready the teacher will come.  You are an awesome teacher for a number of reasons, but what I love about you is the way that you deliver the message. But I was thrilled that he had been exposed to some of your work because it allowed me to connect and communicate with him on a much deeper level.

Now Tim does some public speaking and has started a non-profit organization as well.  He has joined the ETR team as the programs director to help us create our assessment model and individual  programs for each of the kids that come to the Ranch. Part of our programs on the Ranch are spiritually based, meaning we want to help the young adults that come to us reconnect with their own spirit and feel safe enough to explore who they really are.  They will do that on the Ranch through a variety of great programs, and a safe, supportive environment, that will give them the opportunity to truly discover what they are passionate about and what they want to create for themselves.  Inspired by all of the teachers I have had in my own personal life, we intend to have intention workshops, motivational speakers and wellness programs based on wholeness and the connections between body, mind and spirit.

And this is where you come in… I started to think about how great it would be if you would come to speak to the kids at the Ranch.  Now I’m really ahead of myself because the Ranch has not materialized in my experience yet.  But that aside, I wondered if when it is manifested in all it’s beautiful glory, would you come and speak? It would be such a great thing for these kids to be exposed to you.

So that is part of why I have reached out to you. But in all honesty, the other part is this… I have this great vision Dr. Dyer and I know it is sort of divinely guided and that the time is now to help this great planet and bring about major change in our world.  This concept is solid and every person we have shared it with is joining our efforts to help us bring in the funding needed for a project of this magnitude because they can see the vision.  Please let me be clear when I say that I am NOT asking you for money.

What we need is for others to know about our fundraising efforts and to know about how our organization and what we are trying to accomplish. With enough recognition, I believe this could be the start of a model program that is developed in every major city with need.  If you read our program model, I trust you will see my vision.  Click here to see our programs.

This is not just an idea, Earth Tribe Ranch is a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization but we have been slow at getting exposure.  We are planning a press release soon also.  In any case, our website has all our current information and updates about our status but here is a little more about Earth Tribe Ranch:

As a private nonprofit focusing on three major issues, Earth Tribe Ranch is a unique organization. Throughout the country, the number of homeless young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 is increasing at an alarming rate while the available facilities for this demographic are minimal. And while there are many animal rescue organizations, there is often a lack of, and an extreme need for, short term fostering facilities to place the rescued animals while they heal and/or while arrangements are made to re-home them. The third benefit we offer is to our Earth. By embracing a sense of responsibility for our food supply, our Residents will have daily interaction with the land. It’s the interrelationships between people, plants and animals, the essence of our human existence, we are sharing.

Earth Tribe Ranch will offer transitional housing (1-2 years) and vital community to homeless young adults in need of stability, of healing, a sense of home and family. At the same time, we will be sheltering animals that have been rescued, injured, abandoned, and neglected or simply in need of love, kindness and healing. Working together daily, both groups will be valuable Ranch Resident community members. In our effort to have conscious consideration of how to minimize our carbon footprint, we will offer education on sustainable living practices and environmental stewardship, by using alternative building methods and energy sources.

Earth Tribe Ranch will offer Residents plant and animal therapy, mental wellness programs and life skills training in these three major education areas:

  1. Animal Health Care and successful     placement
  2. Sustainable Living, and Earth restoration practices such as organic gardening, natural medicine and products, alternative energies and building
  3. Community Life such as team participation and conscious communication.

“All the forces in the world are not so powerful as an idea whose time has come.”

    Victor Hugo

That’s just a little synopsis of ETR. There is much more info on our website.  Recently I was listening to an audio of Marianne Williamson (another brilliant teacher), and she made a comment that made me cry because I felt it was directed at me.  She said “you are needed to save this planet and help mother a new world” and that is how I feel.  We are an ego driven society but the time for change is upon us and I believe we are starting to see signs of major changes to our society. I also believe that our organization is part of that change.

Dr. Dyer, I apologize for taking up so much of your time with this long dialog.  My hope really is that you will read this and be sympathetic to my plight of getting the word out about our fundraiser and project.

As I mentioned earlier, I have attached a  copy of my article so you know I am on the up and up.

I am very grateful that the world has someone like you in it.  Thank you for all you do to expand social consciousness.

With blessings and gratitude,

Danielle Smit
